Last post of 2010.....

it cracks me up writing that because I haven't really posted anything this year or last for that matter......With that said, I'm not one for resolutions but, my new years resolution is to blog more and go to church...those aren't bad resolutions, in fact it should be easy.  If I can sit on fb forever after school or read other peoples blogs then I can take a few min to write about my exciting life~LOL.  Seriously, Annie this is for you and the kids so we can see each other a few times during the week, since you don't oovooo!  Well today was nice, Mom, Dad and Kerry came over for a little while. We had BLT's ~ YUM!! Then they started watching a documentary on Vince Lombardi, I want to see that play in the city so badly.....but no one wants to go with me  :(    It will stop on February 20th, Kerry can get me discounted tickets....who wants to go?  I'm kind of dreading tonight, it's so nice and warm here next to the fire that I'm getting tired and I don't want to go out, but we have committed to a party, so we have to at least go for a little bit.  It may end up being fun, it seems like whenever I dread something I end up having a great time.  Happy New Year!  btw I can't believe I forgot this major highlight of 2010, Taylor came into our lives on Good Friday and today is her birthday, Happy Birthday Taylor!!! You are the sweetest dog in the world.

The Year in Review

Since I haven't blogged in awhile, I thought I'd do a little year in review.  This year flew, I know every year seems to, but this one particularly flew and I have to say I am really looking forward to 2011
November ~The Stamford Thanksgiving Parade, held the Sunday before Thanksgiving, we love going here each year.  This is Jack's last year of pop warner, we finally got a shot of all of us together.  Danny will be starting next year, woo hoo!

Halloween 2010
Jack decided to go trick or treating with his friends :(  This is John, the perpetual kid, Ryan and little Danny Boy who to my dismay wanted to be this creepy guy for Halloween!

Picking out pumpkins at Stew Leonards

The project from hell, 8th grade career night.

September, trecking off to 2 football games every weekend and practice almost everynight.....not that I would trade it for the world.  I love football!  And I love watching my kids play!!

Jack had a great season playing fullback and several defensive positions.

Poppy came to a game!

Ryan #72, stripping the ball!

Our Christmas Card outing is never fun, lol, however, the end result is always worth it.

Jack and I at the new Giants Stadium.  Go Giants!!

December re~cap....

Overall, December was a great month. We did so many fun things, so it flew of course. Katie, Mike and the kids came over on the 23rd for pre~Christmas festivities......Santa arriving on the firetruck to deliver a gift to each of the kids, followed by pizza and decorating gingerbread men.

Danny and Haley showing off their gingerbread dudes!

I love this firetruck all lit up, it drives around town blaring Christmas tunes delivering presents. The kids get a huge kick out of it, as do the adults. Although, Santa could have looked more Santa-ish :)

Here's Danny at his Christmas party before vacation.

Note to self....never go to NYC the SATURDAY before Christmas!!!
What a nightmare, it was wall to wall people everywhere we went. We go every year and we can't remember if I just take a day off and we go during the week....but we will never do this again. We still had fun, I LOVE going to the city, it was just way too congested, thank God I don't have claustriphobia(sp?) We ended the day back in Rye at our favorite restaurant,
http://www.ryegrille.com YUM!!

It was Jack's 14th birthday! We celebrated as usual, dinner at hibachi followed by cupcakes~no icing, my kids are weird LOL. I still can't believe I have a 14 year old, his voice is changing and he towers over me, this all happened too quickly, I want him to stay little :(

OK, this is weird, I thought I posted another picture of John cutting down the Christmas tree. And now that I'm thinking about it, there was a family picture in front of the tree at Rockefeller Center I will post them after so bear with me, haven't blogged in almost 2 years.....anyway, we go cut down our tree here: http//www.jonesfamilyfarm.com. The last 2 Christmases it snowed and it looked so pretty, this year was nice, however I just like the snow to get us in the mood. We found our tree in record timing, cut it down and were done within a half hour. Then it was home to put it up, although we didn't decorate it for 3 whole days..long story :) maybe I bore ya with details another day!
